How to Create a Shipping Label

Step-by-step guide to generating a label on OrbisCommerce.

Creating a label

You can create a label manually or import an order from a connected marketplace.

Manual label

  1. Go to Shipments → New Shipment
  2. Enter the recipient address — name, street, city, state/province, ZIP, and country
  3. Enter the package details — weight and dimensions
  4. Choose a carrier and service from the live rate results
  5. Click Generate Label
  6. Download the PDF and print it

From a marketplace order

If your store is connected, go to Orders, find the order, and click Create Label. The recipient details are pre-filled — just confirm the package weight and pick a rate.

Label formats

Labels download as 4×6 inch PDF by default, compatible with all thermal and desktop printers. Change the format under Settings → Label Format.

Voiding a label

Labels can be voided within 30 days of creation if the package has not been scanned by the carrier. Go to Shipments, find the label, and click Void. Credits return to your account within 3–5 business days.
